Easter Egg Hunt

We woke up at 6am to clear skies. By 9am the clouds were rolling in. By 10am it was looking gloomy. At 10:30am (just as the eggs were being hidden) the sprinkles began. Right at 11am (when the easter egg hunt was set to begin), the rain started in earnest. It's a good thing we have plastic easter eggs. Had we used dyed easter eggs today, we would have had spotted grass. Despite the wet weather, the kids were cheerful and bright.

Conference Weekend

We enjoyed dinner and watching conference at Grandma and Grandpa's house last weekend. This picture of Karie and Keith is better than the one with their eyes closed.

The Friday night party at Jamus' house was fun. The celebration was for Melba's 90th and there was a good variety of people that came. We enjoyed seeing Tia, who came with some of the Lathen girls. Celia and Jay along with Reed and Rex's families came.

Black Diamond Paige

Paige may not have the best technique yet, but she is a fearless skier. Her favorite run is a black diamond run on the south bowl called 'Jack's Dream'. This is a photo of her and I at the top of the run last Saturday - the last day of skiing. We've had a great year and the girls have all done really well. It is so fun to ski together. It would be even better if we had cousins and grandparents up here to ski with!

Davidson Conference Center

Hannah, Paige and Maren all set up their own special conference viewing stations for last weekend. I printed out workbooks that they colored and took notes in during the sessions. They listened well. Paige's favorite story was the last one from Pres. Monson about the mother who lost all of her children. Hannah liked watching the choir sing hymns.

1st Birthday

Izzy turned a big ONE YEAR OLD last week. She didn't dig into her cake, but delicately ate all of the candy off first, then picked at the icing and cake. She was delighted with her gifts, but not until someone else took all of the wrapping for her.

Inventing Menan's Future

This is what I have been working on, and of course Keith has helped me and the kids have pitched in and sacrificed to.
