Last Day at Beaver

We went up to Beaver Mountain Saturday. Dima decided to try the pond skim so I am posting a couple of pictures of him. He almost made it across, but didn't have and amazing crash.

I'm just glad he didn't go all out and wear a prom dress (or other wild getup) while doing it!

Spring Skiing

Here are a few photos from skiing this week. We rarely have much 'spring skiing' here. The weather typically goes from snowy winter to rainy spring - with no sunny/warm spring ski days before the resort closes. But with such a weird winter we have had some great spring skiing...

We don't have much snow this year, but we've had some great days anyway. Yesterday was one of them.

Yeah Hannah!

This morning Hannah won the 4th Grade Spelling Bee for our school district. In March she gets to travel to Coeur d'Alene to participate in the Regional Spelling Bee.

She won on the word BEIGE. She said she knew how to spell it because she reads it a lot in her fiction books when they describe the color of horses. Other words she also spelled correctly...
